Accredited?
Accreditation is the official recognition from an external governing body. Being accredited in homeschooling means that the curriculums have been inspected by an independent body. Accreditation ensures that a certain set of standards and metrics are being met. This can give piece of mind to families who want the accreditation for getting into college or some other job avenue. Being accreditated is not required though for homeschooling and may not be an appropriate path for some families.
